Since the 1980s there has been a growing need to handle large volumes of containers from and to the western ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp. neska has been part of this development from the very beginning. Our terminals at the inland ports quickly advanced to become central transhipment points, where the three transport modes inland waterway, truck and rail come together.
As a company specialising in intermodal container logistics, neska intermodal has excellent connections between the most important North Sea ports and the European hinterland. The strength of our group is based on our four optimally-connected trimodal terminal locations, our own container shipping line, and the group's own container trucks for truck transports. These are rounded off to completeness by individually tailored services and a strong international network.
Each of our terminals combines the options of inland waterway vessels, railways, and trucks to create innovative transport solutions that meet customer expectations through maximum efficiency and flexibility. In the hinterland, our activities are concentrated in our companies between Cologne and Duisburg, as well as in the port regions of Rotterdam and Hamburg. Every year, we handle more than 1 million TEU in our network.
